Assistant Professor at the Paulista Júlio de Mesquita State University (UNESP-Rio Claro) and Coordinator of the Center for Environmental Studies (UNESP).

José Govone has a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics (Federal University of São Carlos, UFSCar) and a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering Sciences (University of São Paulo, USP). He has experience in Probability and Statistics, with emphasis on Statistics Applied to the Environment and Biostatistics, working mainly on the following topics: exploratory data analysis, spatial statistics, violent deaths, crime, analysis of biological and environmental data.
